On April 8, 1990, we watched as Laura Palmer’s body was found ‘wrapped in plastic’ and Twin Peaks instantly became a cult classic. A seemingly endless cast of quirky characters including, the One-armed-man, the Log Lady, Dr. Jacoby, Gordon Cole, Deputy Andy Brennan, Lucy, Bob, The Man From Another Place, Agent Dale Cooper and many others, kept us tuned in to see what creator David Lynch would confuse us with next.
To this day, Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows to air on network TV. The entire Twin Peaks series (include the pilot) is currently available on Netflix Streaming.
Here’s a great scene with David Lynch as Gordon Cole.
Today marks the 17th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain. Has it really been 17 years?! For better or for worse, love ’em hate ’em; Kurt Cobain and Nirvana changed the music landscape forever.
Nirvana was not the first Seattle sound I heard in the late 80’s early 90’s, but they certainly became the loudest voice in a very short time. In just a few short years, with his music, Kurt Cobain captured the spirit of an entire generation. For once, it wasn’t a boomer.
17-years later, conspiracy theorists continue to search for answers. You can watch a 2004 Dateline video here regarding the death.
